      <title>NYBC Staten Island Chapter September Meeting (23 Sep 2026)</title>

&lt;p data-start="58" data-end="432"&gt;&lt;span style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);"&gt;Join the New York Bee Club Staten Island Chapter for an evening of beekeeping education, community, and a little friendly competition. This month’s meeting will feature a presentation on honeybee comb construction, followed by Staten Island’s Black Jar Honey Competition. It’s a great opportunity to learn something new, share your honey, and connect with fellow beekeepers.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p data-start="434" data-end="1031"&gt;&lt;span style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);"&gt;&lt;strong data-start="434" data-end="459"&gt;What’s on the Agenda?&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br data-start="459" data-end="462"&gt;
• &lt;strong data-start="464" data-end="540"&gt;7:00 PM — “Comb and Nest Architecture” presented by Grai St. Clair Rice:&lt;/strong&gt; Learn how honeybees use their unique physiology to construct comb and create the structural framework of the colony. The presentation will also explore how modern beekeeping practices can help or hinder this process and how a better understanding of comb construction can inform everyday beekeeping habits.&lt;br data-start="847" data-end="850"&gt;
• &lt;strong data-start="852" data-end="910"&gt;8:00 PM — Staten Island’s Black Jar Honey Competition:&lt;/strong&gt; Bring one pound of your best Staten Island honey to enter the competition. The top three winners will move on to BeeCon!&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
